spire no 28 is done! I have 4 in the City lined up and 4 from as far north as Islington down to Old Street. Nearly there! Just to explain the random costa coffee drawings, i do these while on a break from drawing the nearest spire. New Oxford Street has featured a lot because of st Giles in the Fields. Am a bit concerned what i will do when I get to Old Street ...

i had to use a different browser to sort my copy and paste problem but at least i now have a price on both 'end of' pictures. when i use google chrome, the typeface is wrong. apparently i can't update firefox because i don't have 10.6, which i can only get if i get snow leopard and then mountain lion because my mac is 2009. just great.

can't get an add to cart button on my watling street picture on the gift shop. sorry about that. got 2 more spires done today, 10 to go! the leyton and leytonstone drawings will be up for sale soon, as will a couple more 'end of'

made another assault on st boltoph without aldgate, again, to no avail. Headed down to London Wall and got a result with all hallows on the wall! who'd have guessed!

really good time running the fashion illustration workshop today! all my attendees very positive, interested and altogether delightful. I was very ably assisted by 2 supercool models. During the day, they all went home having drawn at least 18 poses, plus a construction drawing. Result. I got in 3 drawings myself, they are half way down on the fashion illustration page, in pencil

I feel i am developing a love hate relationship with my spires. When i'm not with them, i want to draw them and when I'm standing in front of one, pen poised, again, to start at the top with the cross, dragon, ball, whatever, I start worrying that this time it will go horribly wrong and that i will have wasted a zone 1-4 on my oyster. Which of course, sometimes it does, and i have.

i have now done 18 spires, taken 10 weeks. i have another 18 on my list of stuff to do. i'm thinking i should 'launch' these as prints in some form or another and then work on the second series. i have started some drawings called 'end of' which i think will be a nice addition to the gift page, will need more than two though :)

just done a little more editing. the people and places page has been deleted and now the  most current work is on the people page.

gift shop back up, and a couple of other pages sorted out too. still more to do. i am thinking of using my www.evelynrowland.blogspot.co.uk as a place for my more random work... yes yes, i know most of it is random but things are getting overcrowded on here.

very glad i went out drawing yesterday as today is somewhat of a damp squib. I need food though! I need to sort out how to sell my work. My gift page did generate a lot of views but it did need a re think. Which is why i have taken it off until i know what i'm doing. Like wise with the commissions info.
